I bought one of these at the Equine Affaire in Springfield, MA. I was looking for a black headstall, and didn't give much thought to the purchase at the time. It turns out that I love this headstall the best! It fits my horse so well--it is easy to get on, easy to adjust, and the brow band area fits around his ears very comfortably without needing to tug and rearrange like other headstalls I have. It is thick leather but soft and supple, so it just shapes better to his head. The added plus is the buckle closure for switching bits! No more picking apart knotted leather string or trying to find a screw driver! Even the buckles are nice--they are bigger and easier to undo when your fingers are cold! I always tell my gelding that I brought "the good bridle" when I grab this one.
